Kayla is a 2011 graduate of The School of Contemporary Dancers, in affiliation with The University of Winnipeg where she received her Bachelor of Arts. Kayla has recently left Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, where she was dancing with Canada's longest-running contemporary dance company, Winnipeg's Contemporary Dancers (WCD). She has appeared in works with WCD since 2011 by several choreographers, including WCD artistic director Brent Lott, founder Rachel Browne, and choreographers Sasha Ivanochko and Johanna Riley.

 

     Aside from WCD, she has also worked with Odette Heyn-PROJECTS in collaboration with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra since 2010. She has twice travelled to Ottawa, Canada to perform in The Canada Dance Festival, and has toured to New York City, USA and Toronto, Canada with Odette Heyn-PROJECTS. As well, Kayla has worked closely with choreographer Constance Cooke, with performances in Victoria and Winnipeg, Canada. Kayla has also worked professionally with choreographers Menaka Thakkar and Stephanie Ballard. Kayla appeared with company, @tendance/C.Medina, in Vienna and Graz, Austria this past fall and is currently making her transition to Vancouver, Canada.
